marie claire's: taylor tomasi hill

. . . i've been thinking of doing something different with my hair...a different cut for sure, but i've mostly been thinking of a different color.

i'm currently having a hair color crush on taylor tomasi hill's gorgeous shade of red - isn't it perfect!

i'm a dark brunette & don't have this skin tone, so i probably won't be doing this...but i can still love it!

taylor is marie claire's style & accessories director.

Poliform walk-in closet is concealed behind a wall covered in a Cole & Son damask wallpaper. - Elle Decor

. . . wow this is stunning! & what great lighting coming into this space! i'm loving the framed artwork above the sofa & of course the lovely wallpaper!

. . . in regards to the wallpaper - "It’s a flocked-damask-on-Mylar pattern by Cole & Son that I used to delineate the apartment’s public & private areas. It’s a classic old-fashioned motif but executed in a modern way. I love texture, & the silvery background just makes it glow at night. People get scared when you say minimalist, but that doesn’t always mean polished chrome & black leather." - alice cottrell

a little project . . .

. . . i love trays & love displaying objects in them...everything from my jewelry to books & magazines!

a few weeks ago, while at work, i took these photos of the union square tray - from the square one furniture collection.  by the way, i also posted them to my work related blog, i'd love for you to join me there too! click here to pop right over.

. . . & just for fun i looked up the definition of the word tray on wikipedia:

tray is a shallow platform designed for carrying things. It is larger than a salver, a diminutive version commonly used for lighter & smaller servings, & it can be fashioned from numerous materials, including silver, brass, sheet iron, wood, melamine, & papier-mâché. Some examples have raised galleries, handles, & short feet for support.

Trays are flat, but with raised edges to stop things from sliding off of them. They are made in a range of shapes but are commonly found in oval or rectangular forms, sometimes with cutout or attached handles with which to carry them - via wikipedia

. . . i recently discovered these sculptures by anne de villeméjane & you know i just loved them!

these are the only few i was able to find online, but if you have a little time visit her website & you'll be able to see more of her lovely & amazing work!

"feeding on her latin roots , anne's artwork focuses on the vivid themes of corrida & flamenco & the more subdued rendering of nudes..." - anne de villemejanein
